Ft. Meade as a member of the
Infantry Board.

Presidio of San Francisco as
Executive Officer of the 3rd
Battalion, 30th Infantry
Regiment.
1936/37 Attached to
Headquarters 4th Army (he
was an original member of
the 4th Army Staff)
He graduated from the Army
War
College in Washington, D. C.
in 6/1938.
He assumed command of the
1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry
at Ft. Sheridan, IL in
1938-39.
Advancing through the
officer ranks, he was named
colonel in 1940.
He was named Brig Gen. in
1941.
He was transferred to Ft.
Richardson, Alaska in 8/1941
as Commanding Officer 15th
Infantry Regiment.
